Junior Michele Palmer finished sixth at the 2002 New England Cross Country Championships held at Franklin Park in Boston, Massachusetts.
Palmer finished the course in a time of 17:36, her best of the season, and led Vermont to a ninth place finish as a team out of 42 total squads. Boston College’s Maria Cicero won the race with a time of 17:07 and the #6-ranked Eagles took home the team championship.
Tee Gingras (38th-18:30), Katy Jackson (83rd – 19:08), Bethany Brodeur (108th-19:23) and highlight UVM’s ninth place finish.
