Fantasy football advice for Week 7

START ‘EM

QB Carson Wentz (PHI) – I like Carson Wentz this week not only because the Eagles’ offense is rolling, but because of the injuries in the Redskins’ defense as well. The Skins are expecting to be without Jonathan Allen and Josh Norman this Monday, so expect Carson Wentz to take advantage of that.

RB Leonard Fournette (JAX) I absolutely love Fournette’s upside this week against the third-worst defense in the league. Fournette has managed to score five out of six games this season, and should continue rolling at this pace when he faces a Colts defense that has already surrendered 570 yards and six scores to running backs alone.

WR Julio Jones (ATL) The Patriots may have the worst defense in the league right now. After six weeks, Julio Jones has still not found the end zone. With New England cornerback Stephon Gilmore expected to miss Sunday night’s game, I’m anticipating a big night from Jones and hoping he finally finds the end zone.

SIT ‘EM

QB Tyrod Taylor (BUF) Stay away from Tyrod Taylor if you’re looking for big quarterback production this week. The Bills have already lost their number-one tight end, and with wide receiver Jordan Matthews still questionable to play, the Bills will probably look to hand the ball to LeSean McCoy more against the Bucs this weekend.

RB Jay Ajayi (MIA) After having a fantastic 2016 fantasy season, Ajayi has just completely fell off the map. He’s one of the only starting running backs in the league who hasn’t found the end zone, even when he averages more than 20 touches. At this point, I don’t know which Jay is more washed up, Cutler or Ajayi?

WR Sterling Shepard (NYG) Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall may be out for the season, but Sterling Shepard’s health status is still in question. We don’t know yet how these injuries affect his role as a receiver, or how the Giants plan to integrate him back into the offense. He’s definitely someone you should keep an eye on this week to determine whether or not he’s worthy of a starting spot. For now, bench him.

SLEEPERS

TE Zach Miller (CHI) Zach Miller has been one of those tight ends who gets lost in the radar of a league with Gronk, Kelce, and Ertz, but don’t sleep on him. He managed to find the end zone in the last two weeks, and he’s playing a Carolina Panthers’ secondary that has given up four touchdowns to tight ends in their last two games.

RB Derrick Henry (TEN) DeMarco Murray might be the starting running back for the Titans, but his production has started to slow recently. I’m finding the Titans’ offensive coordinator to use Henry on late downs, and in the red zone. He’s no boom or bust, but he’s certainly an intriguing play against the terrible Cleveland Browns.

QB DeShone Kizer (CLE) The Browns might be a terrible team, but that doesn’t mean some of their players don’t have fantasy value. The Browns face Tennessee this week who’ve given up 13 touchdowns over six weeks. If sophomore Jacoby Brissett can compete against the Titans, who says rookie DeShone Kizer can’t? Start him if you live on the fantasy edge.
