AEPi brothers wear black to never forget

The Zeta Pi chapter of the Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEPi) fraternity could be seen gathering silently in remembrance of the Holocaust this evening.AEPi, the Jewish Fraternity of North America, met outside of the Bailey/Howe library at 6 p.m. Clad in black and carrying signs that read ?Never Forget?, several members proceeded to march around campus in support of Holocaust remembrance. The brothers of AEPi said they held the demonstration to keep alive the memory of the six million victims that died and all persons affected by the Holocaust, AEPi President Miles Schoenberg said.?This is just our way of remembrance and a way for our fraternity to give back,? Schoenberg said. Each year, chapters of AEPi across the nation gather on their college campuses to march collectively and in silence. This is the first year the Zeta Pi chapter has participated in the showing, Miles said.?Never forget,? first-year Alex Goldmeier said. ?This is a great movement for spreading the word, and awareness of the Jewish community in Vermont.?First-year Olivia Tedesco witnessed the showing of Holocaust remembrance outside Bailey/Howe.?I personally was touched by their showing of support,? she said. ?It was great to see members of Greek Life and of the Jewish community showing support and holding remembrance for Holocaust victims on our campus.?More than 410 AEPi chapters nationwide participated in the movement this year, Schoenberg said.??????
