Colchester Avenue sees attempted abduction

According to a UVM police safety advisory, a man on Colchester Avenue unsuccessfully attempted to abduct a woman last night.The woman was walking on the south side of the street near the cemetery and toward Winooski at approximately 9:20 p.m., the advisory said.According to the advisory, the abductor was described as being a white male in his mid-to-late 40s, between 5’10” and 6’2″.The vehicle is “a newer model full size dual rear-wheel pickup truck, light color, Chevy or GM, Quad Cab with a rack and flared fenders,” the advisory added.The vehicle was last seen heading toward Winooski, the advisory stated.
