College of Arts and Sciences removes physical education requirement

The College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) removed the physical education requirement for all undergraduate students after commencement weekend.CAS sent out an e-mail to all undergraduates in the College on Wednesday, mentioning the requirement change as well as the decreased number of necessary credit hours from 122 to 120 credits overall.According to the e-mail, this change will apply to all CAS students, regardless of class year.While no longer required, gym credits will continue to count as elective credits, the e-mail stated.
