Davis Center hits 1 million people

The Davis Center had 1 million people in foot traffic from July 1 to Nov. 30 2010, Director of Operations and Event Services Allen Josey said. Thermal heaters located at each entrance of the Davis Center gives accurate reports of foot traffic for each day, week and month, Josey said. “[The counting] is happening automatically 24/7 and is proving to be a very valuable tool from an operations perspective,” he said. The busiest month was September, with a little more than 300,000 people coming in and out. A typical weekday traffic averages to around 12,000 people, Josey said.
