Fogel’s Vision Unclear

To the Editor: Why, oh why, wouldn’t anyone be satisfied with the physical plant of UVM (it’s beautiful), and the surrounding city (also beautiful)? It would be a travesty to put more businesses on campus as these would only hurt downtown businesses, especially locally-owned small enterprises such as hair salons. Furthermore, is it really necessary to put fast food on campus? How is this good for anyone? Let our kids get an education in the beautiful environs that already surround the campus and the city. If President Fogel wants to improve anything, he should make certain it’s the quality of the education.M. TroianoNew Windsor, New York
