SGA Canidates Chosen

On Sept. 10, after two days of voting, polls closed for the SGA first year student elections. Tram Tran had the most votes with 103.  Following Tran, Brandon John-Freso ended with 85 votes.  Courtney Robinson received 82 votes, Ali Sadeghi received 76, and German Vivas received 71.Throughout the process, 473 voters — freshman to senior — logged onto lynx and selected the candidates they felt would serve in SGA most sufficiently.  Originally, 80 participants expressed interest in SGA, however only 20 ended up collecting enough signatures to affirm their place on the ballot.Based on their academic and overall interests, these five senators will eventually hold positions in one of five open committees, according to Katie Rifken, Director of Public Relations.More soon to follow.
