The British Observer Magazine selected Environmental Studies professor Saleem H. Ali as one of the 20 “Green Giants” for the coming year. Observer Magazine has appointed Ali as an “Eco-Diplomat,” alongside Brad Pitt, Prince Charles, Evo Morales and Arnold Schwarzenegger, a press release stated. As a group, these men will set the tone for how green issues are perceived and how the planet is protected, according to Observer Magazine. “Natural resources have the capacity to unite, not just divide,” Ali said.
