Cross Country:
The men’s team placed 36th out of 119 while the women’s team placed 17th out of 114 teams.

Field Hockey:
Boston 2, Vermont 0
Vermont held Boston until the remaining seven minutes of the game, when BU was able to score two goals. The field hockey team falls to 1-10 on the season.
Cross Country:
Both the men and women’s cross country teams took second place at the Vermont State Meet on Saturday.

Men’s Soccer:
Vermont 3, #18 UMBC 1
With goals by seniors Matt Hennessey and Marty Galvin, the Catamounts were able to get the first win of their season.

Women’s Soccer:
Vermont 6, UMBC 5
The women’s team won their first game against UMBC last Sunday. 
Goals were scored by freshman Jess Herbst, senior Carson Laderoute and juniors Jessica Becker and Gabby Bonfigli.

Men’s Hockey:
New Brunswick 3, #15 Vermont 2 (1 OT)
New Brunswick scored with only 30 seconds left in overtime to give them the win. This was Vermont’s season opener.

Women’s Hockey:
McGill 2, Vermont 1 (1 OT)
McGill’s Cathy Chartrand scored with two and a half minutes left in overtime to take the win. This was the Catamounts first game of the 2009 season.

Men’s Soccer:
Hartford 2, Vermont 2 (2 OT)
Senior Matt Hennessey’s goal in the final three minutes of the game sent the game into overtime. This game brings the Catamounts to 1-6-4 overall in the season.
