#23 Connor Brickley — men’s hockey

Position: Forward

Height: 6’1″

Weight: 195 pounds

Class: Sophomore

Hometown: Everett, Mass.

Previous Team: Des Moines University

Accomplishments at UVM

Brickley scored two of the five goals in the Catamount’s 5-4 upset against the previously undefeated Minnesota Oct. 23. After many previous shot attempts, Brickley finally got on the board four minutes into the second period, scoring the first goal of the game and the new season. Despite Minnesota regaining the lead, Brickley was not discouraged. Coming back at 15:02, he again buried the puck at the back of the net scoring his second goal of the game.

Previous Accomplishments:

In the 2010-2011 season, Brickley played 35 of 36 games and led first year forwards with four goals and nine assists for 13 points. He was also named the Hockey East Rookie of the Week during the week of Nov. 15.

Before becoming a Catamount, Brickley was drafted 50th overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Florida Panthers. He is the second highest draft choice in the program’s history. In 2010, Brickley was also a member of the gold medal winning U.S. National Under-18 Team at the 2010 International Ice Hockey Federation World Men’s U18 Championship.
