Art is both a way of expressing and exploring oneself, be it through deep, emotional pieces that reflect the inner workings of one’s brain or through silly drawings of friends.
Although people usually associate art with paintings, there are countless forms of art often not mentioned. It is through these different mediums that people can create in ways that make them truly happy.
Throughout this photo essay, I captured different artists around UVM at the Ceramics co-op and UVM Program Board’s Art Crawl event to show the medium in which they create the most.
Senior Wyatt Belisle works on a linocut during the Art Crawl. “You just made it once and then you have infinite works of art,” he said on why he enjoys printing., He also enjoys exploring other art forms and combining them to create mixed media pieces March 1.
