The Vermont Cynic illustrations team presents: The “Show Don’t Tell” series

Whether it be for an opinion column, a culture column or anything in between, our illustrators here at the Cynic are well versed in the practice of creating illustrations that reflect the writing of our peers. But what happens when you need to reflect an abstract idea with no clear image tied to its meaning? 

For this illustration series, members of the illustrations section were challenged to create a piece inspired by a one-word prompt using no text whatsoever. Each member could choose to create their piece in any style and medium that best represented their practices as an artist.
