UA elections result
Felicia Kornbluh was announced as the new president of United Academics, which is UVM’s faculty union Nov. 24.
UA held its elections this past week, and all positions were uncontested, apart from the presidency.
“I bring the same qualities to UA that I developed in that role: tenacity, eagerness to bring diverse perspectives into decisions, and enthusiasm for the project of making conditions as good as they possibly can be for our precious teaching and scholarship,” Kornbluh said.
Denise Youngblood is the outgoing president. Professors Felicia Kornbluh and Don Loeb ran to replace her seat.
Kornbluh is an associate professor of history at UVM, and has been the director of gender, sexuality, and women’s studies since 2009.
