A lifetime of stopping people to pet their dogs has left me laden with guilt. I wondered how many walks I’ve slowed down, how many phone calls I’ve interrupted and how many ETAs I’ve extended.
After weeks of careful deliberation, the solution has become glaringly obvious. With a camera, a backpack and the title of “Vermont Cynic Photojournalist,” I am trailed by an air of professionalism.
I wondered how I would use this power. As anyone else in my position would do, I tracked down campus dogs who look like their owners and asked to photograph them. Here are their portraits.
