How do you feel about the recent accusations of embezzlement on campus?
Ê
It is highly unfair, especially with tuition rising. The administration needs to be more transparent about the business end… It is a function of the American university: ItÕs too much about profit and focus on the student is lost. I heard that the school does summer building projects to use up extra money in the budget. Why not use that money for departments that are struggling?Ó

ÒEmbezzlement here is bad, but not nearly as bad as in Serbia. ItÕs a shame because SerbiaÕs been doing a good job of routing out corruption lately.

ÒPretty pissed off. We pay the school enough money… How are we supposed to feel writing a check if one of the people we ÒtrustÓ handles our money this way? That money was tuition flat, no aid for five students.Ó

ÒItÕs horrifying that someone would steal not only from the school, but from students paying their tuition. IÕve been charged with late fees when my tuition is an hour late; all the administration seems to keep track of is whether or not money is paid, rather than tracking where it is going. Priorities are flawed.Ó

ÒYa know, she makes cheese. Like, whatever… If she pleaded gulity and the accusations are correct I guess I feel good about that.Ó
