The best ‘ship is the Doctor and Clara from “Doctor Who.” What once started as the Doctor searching for an answer to Clara’s existence eventually changed to be the pair trying to figure each other out. As the Doctor struggled to figure out his “impossible girl,” Clara at the same time figured out her impossible man. The Doctor and Clara proved repeatedly that they were willing to break the universe to be together; once when Clara entered the Doctor’s timestream in his 11th incarnation, and again when the Doctor reversed Clara’s death so he could see her again in his 12th. They are equals, and they are perfect.
