Former UVM men’s hockey coach to be inducted in Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame

Former University of Vermont men’s hockey coach Mike Gilligan is among the 10 men and women who will be inducted into the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame this year. He posted a record of 279-289-46 in 19 seasons as the University’s men’s head coach. Gilligan is currently an assistant coach for UVM’s women’s hockey team.

 

 

Tickets to athletic events no longer available at Davis Center

It used to be a great convenience to be able to walk to class on Monday mornings, go to the Davis Center and grab hockey tickets for the upcoming weekend series. That privilege is no longer available as the only way to get tickets for athletic events is the box office at Patrick Gymnasium, which is located on the second floor of the building.

 

Men’s soccer falls to Boston University

Vermont lost their third straight game, falling to 6-5-3 on the year and 1-2-0 in America East. Vermont was outshot 20-5 and gave up two second-half goals scored by the Terrier’s Ben Berube and Aaron O’Neil. With the victory, Boston University extends its win streak to five games and improves to 8-3-1 overall. The Terriers also remain unbeaten in league play with a 3-0-0 mark.
