UVM athlete spotlight of the week

#19 Brittany Zuback – women’s ice hockey

Position: Forward

Height: 5’6”

Class: First Year?

Hometown: Thunder Bay, Ontario?

Previous Team: Kitchener-Waterloo Rangers

Accomplishments at UVM:

Zuback scored the first of the pair of goals for the Catamounts to earn the tie as they battled against Rensselaer this past Friday. Zuback recovered the puck off of the rebound of her own previous shot, then went on to beat out Rensselaer’s goaltender back to the goal, getting on the board with only two minutes left in the period. This goal was Zuback’s first of the season and her career at UVM.

Previous Accomplishments:

Zuback played with the Kitchener-Waterloo Rangers in the Provincial Women’s Hockey League. Zuback played 34 games with the Rangers, scoring 13 goals and 17 assists for 30 points. In 2010, Zuback led her hometown team, the Thunder Bay Queens, to win the Ontario Provincial Championship and the Esso Cup — the National Midget Championship. Zuback was also named Thunder Bay Queen MVP that year.
