Alex Strand is a sophomore from the heart of Boston, MA majoring in Psychological Sciences with minors in Biology and Reporting and Documentary Storytelling. She started on the Cynic as a staff photographer and features writer before becoming a photo editor and remaining a features writer. Outside of journalism, she enjoys canoeing, live music and utter chaos.

Annalisa Madonia, Managing Editor

Annalisa Madonia is a junior majoring in public communication with a concentration in media and journalism from Wantagh, NY. She has minors in food systems, applied design and nutrition and food sciences. She joined the Cynic as a staff photographer her first-year before taking on the role of photo editor sophomore year and then became Managing Editor her junior year. Outside of the Cynic she is a staff photographer for The Community News Service at UVM and is on the production team for the UVM Program Board. In her free time, she loves to combine her passion for baking and photography with food photography.
