Jane Knodell was appointed Provost and Senior Vice President of the University of Vermont on Dec. 13, an e-mail from President Daniel Fogel said. “She has shown the leadership skills, creativity, and high level of energy necessary to succeed in this challenging position,” Fogel’s e-mail stated. Provost Knodell has been serving as Interim Provost and Senior Vice President since July 2009 and been part of the UVM faculty since 1986, the e-mail stated. “UVM is an extraordinary place, and I plan to do everything I can to make it even better,” Knodell said.
