The crew team rowed to support the Vermont Food Bank and their own organization on April 8 outside the Davis Center. “Our commitment is to donators and also to raise awareness on campus of UVM crew,” sophomore Emma Fitzsimmons said. Everyone on the team takes turns rowing for half an hour, Fitzsimmons said. The team rowed from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and gave a portion of the money they raised to the food bank, senior and club president Annie Bednar said. “We have already fundraised around $600 for the food bank,” Bednar said. The team has been working with the organization for two years and their efforts have gone a long way, she said.
