Foster Competes in Championship

Ryan Foster finished 42nd out of 81 competitors in the 10-kilometer classical race at the Under-20 World Cross Country Skiing Championships in Solefftea, Sweden Thursday. Foster, a freshman on the University of Vermont Nordic ski team, is one of three Catamount skiers who are on US national teams competing in international events this season. His older brother, Ethan Foster, a sophomore captain, has been selected to the United States team that will compete in the inaugural Under-23 World Championships Feb. 14-16 in Valdidentro, Italy, while UVM sophomore Lowell Bailey just returned from competing in the biathlon at the World University Games in Forni Avoltri, Italy.
