Martin Luther King Memorial

Professor Emeritus H. Lawrence McCrorey gave great tribute to the civil rights leader as he spoke both eloquently and passionately when he addressed the UVM community at the commemorative service for the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Prof. McCrorey implored UVM students to, like past civil-rights leaders, “arm yourself with knowledge and dedicate yourself to change for the better…” Two students also addressed the audience and both the Cat’s Meow and the Catamount Singers sang African-American spirituals.
