Xanax found on Trinity campus

A Trinity campus student was taken into police custody on Monday after University Police Services received information that he was allegedly selling prescription pills from his dorm room.

Continuing education student Christian Devaul was lodged at the Chittenden County Correctional Center Dec. 9 after police services obtained a search warrant for his residence.

Officer Bobby Bailey received information regarding the ongoing incident Dec. 8. The warrant issued that day led to the discovery of 324 two-milligram Xanax pills, a small amount of marijuana and more than $800 in cash in Devaul’s possession, according to a UVM Police Services report.

The investigation is ongoing and more information will be made available as it is released.
