(She/her) Elise Coyle is a senior psychological science and English double major from Concord, CA. Since she joined the Cynic in spring 2024, Elise has written for features alongside occasional pieces for sports and news. She became features editor this semester. Outside of the Cynic, Elise reports for Community News Service, with stories published in statewide newspapers like Vermont Public and VTDigger. 

From arts and athletics to in-depth profiles, Elise is interested in producing a wide range of stories that capture the human experience. When she is not writing, Elise enjoys knitting, annotating books and listening to music that is too loud.
