(She/her) Erika Tally is a junior sustainability, ecology, and policy major with a minor in education studies from Bristol, RI. She started as a Cynic culture writer in the spring of 2024, then became culture section editor in the spring of 2025. Erika has worked as an intern for Lake Champlain Sea Grant and has done research work in the field of sustainable development while abroad in Costa Rica. 

Erika enjoys journalism that highlights the value of community and creativity. Erika sees the culture section as a way to provide present and future students alike a snapshot of our current campus nuances. From lighthearted pieces about campus inside jokes to coverage of esteemed visiting speakers, she enjoys spotlighting local events, speeches, and trends that underscore UVM’s distinct campus culture. Outside of the Cynic, Erika enjoys thrifting, traveling, and is slowly working her way through her Letterboxd watchlist.
