Evan Witt, News Editor
(He/Him) Evan Witt is a sophomore from Dallas, Texas studying public communications, with a concentration in community media and journalism. He joined the Cynic as a news reporter in 2024, and became news editor in 2026. Evan has written for Community News Service, with articles being published in newspapers such as the Hardwick Gazette and VTDigger. Evan was inspired to pursue journalism after watching the movie Spotlight.
He has a passion for investigative work, focusing on conflict and controversy within local communities. He values the role of the media in ensuring transparency with the public. Outside of the Cynic, Evan enjoys snowboarding, exploring Burlington and playing for UVM Rugby. Still champs by the way.
