A box of KN95 masks sits behind the front desk of the Davis Center on the first floor Jan. 21.

KN95 masks are now available for pickup to UVM community members, according to a Jan. 21 email from Gary Derr, vice president of operations and public safety.

The masks are being distributed out of the Davis Center Information Desks, Mondays through Saturdays from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. CATCard identification is required for pickup. Each UVM community member is entitled to three KN95 masks.

The Vermont Department of Health recommends the use of high-quality masks to prevent the spread of highly transmissible variants of COVID-19, such as N95 masks or KN95 masks, according to its website.

Community members can visit the UVM Forward website for more information on UVM’s masking resources, information and policies.
