Justin Milo released from UVM hockey team

Men’s hockey head coach Kevin Sneddon confirmed yesterday to the Burlington Free Press that Justin Milo had been dismissed from the team.

“We just felt it was in the best interests of our program and will move forward without him,” Sneddon said to Ted Ryan of the Free Press. “We certainly wish him all the best in his future endeavors. We just felt like this was in the best interests of our program as we move forward for the rest of the season.”

Details on why the decision was made to let Milo go were not given.

Milo was the team’s second-leading scorer this season and had been a key part of the roster in past seasons as well. He was also a successful baseball player for the Catamounts before UVM discontinued the program following last season.

A transfer student from Cornell, Milo contributed 24 goals and 27 assists to the team over the course of his career at UVM.
